*THE BEGINNING OF A RELATIONSHIP*

Initial Contact and Excitement

Jason’s view:

“I viewed Jenna’s profile more times than I could count; her eyes drew me in, and her red hair was so beautiful to me.

I finally mustered the courage to send her a message early one morning

She responded later that night while I was working the night shift

I was so giddy, like a high school crush feeling; I almost drove off the road on the way home texting her, lol.”

Jenna’s view:

“I was just about to give up on dating apps all together at the time I met Jason. I was just having horrible luck with other men and was getting tired from it all. Out of the blue I saw that this cute guy messaged me and I knew after looking at his picture that I just had to respond. Almost like a pulling force was guiding me to him.”

First Date Nerves and Hesitation

Jason’s view:

“I was pretty persistent about going out on a date with her, maybe too much, but I just felt something special

So, after what felt like forever, we set up a date in Wadena at Uptown

We hit it off so much that we almost didn’t get to order food; they were about to close the kitchen down,

We ate, then decided to walk around Wadena.

I got shy and didn’t try to hold her hand

I walked her to her car and said goodnight

Again, I got shy and didn’t go for a kiss, lol.”

Jenna’s view:

“I was actually a little scared but excited at the same time. He wouldn’t stop asking to see me even though it was only a couple hours since we last saw one another. I didn’t want to be so called “loved bombed,” as some would say, so I was trying to be careful but the excitement I felt was just so intense I couldn’t help myself or hold back. I couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t make any moves in person though. He sure talked a good game 😉.”

A Deep Connection Forms

Jason’s view:

“The same night, we went out again, then walked to the park and danced under the stars—a first for both of us. After all of our talks, our pasts were so similar, and we thought so alike

I just knew she was the one; I felt it deep inside.”

Jenna’s view:

“That night as we danced under the stars, I just knew we were meant to be. I was trying not to get too excited but the love I was feeling and how perfectly balanced everything felt couldn’t pull me away. There was a definite reason we have crossed paths. I just knew it. We committed to one another right off the bat. There was something happening to us that was so familiar but yet so different at the same time.”

The Proposal at the Wishing Well

Jasons view:

“A little back story: We went to Duluth together during the first weekend after we met (only about 6 days after meeting one another) and

While we were walking, we came upon a wishing well.

We both stopped and made a wish and swore to secrecy what our wish was. I told her that if the wish came true that I would tell her what I wished, but only then.

Almost a year to the day, I chose to tell her that my wish had come true. I got on one knee and proposed to her at that very same wishing well. We then told one another what our initial wish was a year prior and it turned out that we both wished that we had found “the one” and that we would get married to one other.”

Jenna’s view:

“The day of the proposal I knew something was happening I could just feel it. I didn’t catch on until we started getting closer to the well that we had wished upon a year prior, then I knew. As he got down on one knee. I felt every fiber in my being scream in excitement but we were out in public too, so I was a little embarrassed at the same time. All I could say was “Of course! Of course!’ I don’t think I even said yes! We both were just so overwhelmed 😊 <3.”

We still haven't spent a day apart since we met almost 2 in a half years ago.

Declaration of Love

Jason:

“She is the love of my life. She is perfect for me!”

Jenna:
